  3. User can then enter Projected or Actual Hatchery information for the selected week

    1. Select the Days in operation and enter the amount of Male and/or Female birds to be received.

    2. Projected is the estimated amount you expect to receive and Actual is when you know exactly what the hatchery is sending you.

  4. Once data is entered, user can exit the form and data will save automatically

Schedule Placements

System --> Scheduling --> Schedule PlacementsOnce you are ready to create new flock placements you would then create a Placement Schedule.

  1. Select the date range you want to Schedule placements for

  2. To create new schedules, Click “Schedule”

  3. To Load an existing saved schedule, Click “Load”

Placement Schedule

A list of available farms for the dates entered will then show up with new flock placement information (based on estimated and actual sell dates and depopulations, average house down times, etc) and quantities of birds to schedule is calculated and included (determined by the default hatchery and house capacity amounts).  The Flock Code, Division, Farm, Placement Dates and Downtimes, can be modified on the schedule.  You can also add additional records if needed.

Note:  The grey rows mean they have already been committed as actual flocks.

The amount of birds placed in any house can be modified by clicking the little box beside a record to expand it.  Once expanded, the user can modify the amount of head to be placed, the date these birds are to be placed and the hatchery the birds came from.  The user can also add additional lines if there are multiple hatcheries or placement dates to be used.

Clicking Save will save the schedule and any modifications the user has made to it to the database.

Load/Schedule Buttons

The first time you create a schedule you will need to click schedule, once the saved button is selected the records are saved to the database.  The load button will pull in any records saved to the database.  If you were to modify the schedule and then select Schedule again, it will only pull in new records it thinks that should be scheduled but will not reset or recalculate the records already saved to the database.

Recalculate Checkbox

If you created a schedule and then went to a flock/house and made changes to the capacity, downtimes, sell dates etc, you can check the recalculate checkbox on the schedule, then select the Schedule button and it will basically recalculate the record checked.  This will also recalculate the record if you made modifications to the placement schedule and you want it to revert back to what the schedule originally calculated.

Override Checkbox

The override Checkbox is there so that if you are always making the same change to the schedule for a particular flock, it will no longer use the defaults from the flock/house to calculate the next schedule but will use the latest schedules information with override checked.

Over / Short

You can check whether there is enough available birds for the placements coming from the hatcheries based off hatchery scheduled projected data.

  1. Expand the Hatchery you want to see

  2. The dates listed are the operational dates.  The original projected amounts for male and female from the hatchery schedule are listed for each day.

  3. Over/Short column tells you how many birds are left over in the hatchery for a day.  If the number turn’s red then you are short that amount of birds.  If you modify the placement schedule tab, it will dynamically modify these numbers.

It will turn red if you are short on birds from the hatchery.

Messages

Messages will show you all errors that have occurred.  This could mean that set-up for a house or farm is incorrect or missing data.

Saving a Schedule

When you are done making changes to a schedule you can then click “Save”.  To pull this schedule back up later you would enter your dates and select ‘Load’ instead of schedule.

  1. Select a date to view that week’s schedule

  2. Select Load
