Plants and Mills

Plant and Mill setup is an easy way to set up your various Processing Plants and Feed Mills.  Feed Mill set up is an important aspect of feed scheduling, as it helps determine deliveries based on the Operational Schedule of the Mill and the Plant Capacity.

Details

• Plant Code:  The corresponding code to the Plant or Mill.

• Plant Name:  The name of the Plant or Mill

• Tax Code: U.S. IRS tax code assigned to the facility.

• Capacity (Rendering & Processing):  The unit of measure the plant capacity. All capacities in the operation schedule will be in this unit of measure.

• Status:  Whether the plant/mill is currently active or inactive.This field will default to the system default of active.

• Longitude: The longitude location of the Plant/Mill.

• Latitude: The latitude location of the Plant/Mill. This field is optional. The only time it is required is if the user enters aLongitude value and vice versa.

• Ownership:  Select the type of ownership of the plant or mill.

• Division: The default division to associate the plant/mill to for account purposes.

• Egg Unit (Egg Processing & Hatchery): The unit of measure in egg units of the plant capacity. All capacities in the operation schedule will be in this unit of measure.

Operation Schedule

The operation schedule allows for the basic size or capacity of a plant or mill to be defined as well as any planned shut down of the plant or mill whether its a single occurrence for retooling or for recurring shut downs such as holidays.  Shifts can also be assigned to the Plant or Mill.

This tab records all of the Equipment allocated specifically to this Plant or Mill.

Inline Houses

On this tab, Check the houses to assign them the inline egg processing plant.  Plants can also be selected on the house forms.  Only one plant can he assigned to a house, so selecting a house will overwrite any existing configurations.

Can set defaults on the plant for Settlements Net Weight.

Percent Allotment: When hatchery is populated on the Live Inventory Transactions form, Placements tab, these default values for percent allotment will auto populate.

Days to Calculate:  When hatchery is populated on the Live Inventory Transactions form, Placements tab, these default values for days to calculate will auto populate.
