Expenses



rack your group expenses by clicking on the Expense Button in the Ribbon bar.  All of the Components and Expense Types set up in the System Settings can be associated with various expenses.

 



Expense Log

On the expense log tab, the system will list all of the expenses for a particular group.

  • Placement House. The house of the placement group that this expense belongs to.

  • Sex Code.  The sex of the bird that the expense belongs to.

  • Expense Date.  The date the expense occurred on.  This is a required field.

  • Expense Type.  Select whether the Expense Type is adding or subtracting.  This is a required field.

  • Ticket Number.  If there is an ticket number for this expense you can enter it here.

  • Invoice Number.  If there is a invoice number for this expense you can enter it here.

  • Component Code.  Select a component code this expense belongs to if one is relatable.

  • Component Units.  Enter the amount of components that this expense is for.

  • Component Unit of Measure.  Select the unit of measure for this component.

  • Unit Price.  Enter the expense's unit price.

  • Amount.  You can enter the expense amount here or it will calculate the total from the components and unit price if these were included.  This is a required field.

  • Expense Code.  Select an Expense Code this expense is tied to.  This is a required field.

  • Comments.  Enter any additional comments or notes regarding this expense.

 

Transferred Out

When a user Transfers animals out of a house into another, the user can transfer the expenses along with that group.  The Transfer Out tab will list all of the expenses that were Transferred with the group.

 

Transferred In

When a user Transfers animals out of a house into another, the user can transfer the expenses along with that group. The Transfer In tab will list all of the expenses that came in when a group was Transferred.

 

Capitalized

The Capitalized tab will show the amount to be capitalized and the date the capitalization will take place.  Capitalization's can be set up in the group form and will happen automatically.  See Capitalization and Depreciation.

 

Depreciation Schedule

The Depreciation Schedule will list how expenses will be dispersed over the life of the group.  Depreciation Settings are configured in the Expense Settings and the rules are set up for each group in the group form.  See Capitalization and Depreciation.

Transactions (Placements, Transfers Out and Live Haul Expenses)

Users can add expenses directly to a flocks placement, Transfer Out or Live Haul so the expense will follow those particular transactions.

Live Hauls/ Depopulations

You can add expenses or Revenues on your Live Haul/ Depopulation Transactions.















 





Transfer Outs

You can add expenses or Revenues on your Transfer Out Transactions.

Revenue

You can now enter revenues in the revenue form on the ribbon bar for the flock.  Revenues that come from the egg grade-out valuation will show up here when committed and be locked down.

Revenue codes can be set up under settings --> expense → Revenue Codes
