Feed Components

Feed Medications, Nutrients, Ingredients and Additives can be set up through the Feed Components screen.  Once set up on this screen, the components are used in formulas.  This allows you to set up the pricing information for all types of feed, apply the items to formulas, and the software can then decipher how much was paid for each item based on the dates the pricing is applied.

The Components form and the Feed Components are the same form but when opened from feed components section, you are limited to feed options Feed Medications, Nutrients, Ingredients and Additives.

Prices

The Feed Components "Prices" tab allows for default unit prices to be set for the various divisions that lie within the relation control of the component. The form supports effective dates that can be updated and added at the users discretion. When a default unit price is present for a valid effective date the price per unit will be propagated to the expense form when the component code is entered. That price per unit will be calculated with with the number of units to derive a calculated cost of the component. If a price is not available the default price set on the miscellaneous tab above will be used in its place.
