Creating
To create a new user within Aeros Vision, follow the steps below.
Note: In order to accomplish this, the current user must have "Edit User Security" permissions.
Access the Vision Main Menu.
Click on the Tools / Settings drop-down.
Select Manage Security.
The Vision Security window will appear.Click on the New User button.
If you are using internal Aeros Vision security (not integrated with ERP or LIVE), you will be taken to the User Editor screen. Go to step #4-c below.
If you are using integrated security with Aeros ERP or Aeros LIVE, you will be taken to the Select User screen. Go to step #4-a below.For integrated security. the system will connect to ERP or LIVE and retrieve a list of Users.
Select the user from the drop-down list.Click Select User.
You will then be taken to the User Editor screen. Go to step #5 below.If using internal Vision security, you are directly taken to the User Editor screen.
Specify a User Name in the User Name field.
By default, the Password is the same as the User Name.Click the Reset Password on Next Login if desired.
Continue to Step #5 below.
The User Editor screen has the following options:
Using the checkboxes on the screen, check or uncheck any desired user permissions.
Most options should be fairly self explanatory, however:
Vision Administrator
This means that the user can run ANY Query/Report/Dashboard/Financials in the system; the user will not be restricted.
This does NOT mean the user can Edit User Security options.
Click Save & Close.
The user should now be able to login directly to Aeros Vision.
Editing
To edit a user within Aeros Vision, follow the steps below.
Note: In order to accomplish this, the current user must have "Edit User Security" permissions.
Access the Vision Main Menu.
Click on the Tools / Settings drop-down.
Select Manage Security.
The Vision Security window will appear.
Click the Pencil icon next to the user you wish to edit.
The User Editor screen will appear.
Make any desired changes. Click Save & Close.
Note: If the user is currently logged in, the can click on the Tools / Settings drop-down and select Refresh Permissions.
