Flock Ages
On most reports, the age is formatted in the following way:
66-1-48
66 = total flock age in weeks
1 = Cycle #
48 = Weeks in Cycle
Â
Total Flock Age
Flock age is determined based off the hatch date on the placement under transactions.Â
Â
Under settings à Settings (ribbon bar), there is a configuration that lets the system know whether the flock is considered 0 days or 1 day old on their hatch date.
Â
Â
If you have multiple placements on a flock, the system will look to the hatch date rules also found under settings à Settings (ribbon bar)
Â
Cycle and Weeks in Cycle
Go to the flock form à production tab. The cap at age is when the flock hits the 1st cycle and anything prior to that 18 is determined to be prior to cap (PC).
Adjust the cap at age and it will change your weeks in cycle.Â
Â
Another thing that will affect your weeks in cycle is if the flock has gone into molt cycle or is in cycle 2, the molt date will affect weeks in cycle.

Also, important to note that on different reports an age can be configured to be rounded up, rounded down or straight rounded.
