To add or manage individual transfers in the system, you can go to Placement Records → Select the Transfer Tab → enter As-Of Date → Click on “Load” to access the previously selected and saved transfer records.
Navigate to the Recalculation Settings and input a date in the “Calculate After” and “Calculate Until” fields. Then, click on “Recalculate” to retrieve transfers associated with saved placement records. This feature allows you to assign those placement records to a Layer flock.
Select your Transfer Farm, Transfer House, and Transfer Flock. Once the Transfer House is selected, the dropdown will display the Layer Houses available for the chosen farm, along with their availability status and expected availability dates. The Transfer Cycle Days will auto-populate. Click Save.
When the records save to the database, it will also create an Estimated Placement record on the layer flock.
Commit Transfer/Commit Placement
In the calendar, you can commit the events that have occurred. This functionality is available for both Transfers and Placements. A calendar event will be displayed in red when it is incomplete and will change to green once it is completed.
If you go to the Transaction Form, you will see a record created for the committed event.
Forecasting Transfers
While scheduling transfers is selected as a visible type, we will see a new button at the bottom of the screen to "Forecast". Clicking this button opens a new form that displays scheduled transfers in a list format. Within this form, you have the option to perform a split transfer if you need to allocate a pullet flock to multiple layer flocks. To initiate a split transfer, right-click on the record and select “Split Transfer”. This will separate the record, allowing you to modify the Transfer Quantity, Transfer House, and Flock Information as needed. The Transfer Cycle days will be automatically filled in.
Events By Age
Scheduling → Events By Age
Select the division from the dropdown menu in the ‘Events by Age’ Configuration box. Here, you can set up various types of tasks that will be scheduled according to the age of the flock. This configuration allows you to schedule tasks for both your current active flocks and any future flocks. You can choose whether to specify the time frame in weeks or days and select a different industry type, egg type, and flock type. If the egg type and flock type fields are left blank, no filtering will occur at that level. In the “Day of Week” section, you can select the specific day of the week for the event to occur. To schedule the event on the exact day the flock reaches the specified age, select “Exact”, or alternatively, choose a particular day of the week. You also have the option to choose whether to round up or down to the nearest specified day.
To manage schedules, first select the specific level of items you wish to view and the ‘Events By Age’ for the flocks you have been working with. Once you have made your selections, click ‘Load.’ Then, access the “Events By Age” form and select “Forecast”. Enter the desired date and click the Load button to retrieve any existing records from the database.
The Flock Status field indicates whether the event pertains to an Active flock or a Pending future flock. Note that for Pending future flocks, the estimated placement date may change, which could affect associated tasks. In such cases, you can click the “Recalculate” button to update the calculations. If there are specific selections you prefer not to recalculate, you can choose the “Do Not Recalculate” button.
Scheduling will only occur for flocks that have placement information available. If the placement information is not configured, a hatch date will be missing, and the system requires the data to populate the “Events By Age” form.
From the Calander view, it will work the same where you may Split or Commit the event. For example, if you need to administer a vaccine over a number of days, the system will split the records by selecting “Split Event By Age.”
Commit An Event By Age
To commit an event by age, right-click on the event and choose “Commit Event By Age.” Ensure that all information is correct and does not require modifications, then select “Commit”. The event’s color will change to green, indicating it has been completed.
To view the events categorized by age, navigate to the division and open the record-keeping form, where you will find the “Events By Age“ tab. Additionally, you can manually enter events in this section without using the schedule.
Downtime Events
The system will only recalculate new information when a transfer occurs from the pullet to layer flock. Once an upcoming transfer is saved, depopulation sales records will be generated. Please ensure that the transfers are properly set up for depopulation to be reflected this this section. In the configuration form, you select your division and define the types of tasks to be performed during the Downtime. Specify the following details: Task Name, Day of Downtime for the task, Industry Type, Day of the Week, and whether you want to Round Up or Down. Once you’ve entered this information, remember to save your changes before closing the form. Next, in the scheduler, click the “Forecast” button and select “Load”. Under the “Depopulation/Sales” Tab, you will see any scheduled transfers to the specified house. Clicking on the Downtime (click Load) tab will also take the depopulation/sales records that are available and create the downtime events.
