Before placing animals, you will probably want to make estimates for planning purposes, or to schedule feed.  To do so, there is an Estimates button in the Ribbon Bar to set up anticipated placements, transfers, and depopulations.  As the actual placements are made, they will be associated with these estimates, so the software knows when we have moved from a status of projecting to actual transactions.

Estimated Placements

This tab is where you will enter your estimated placements.  Within the grid enter the following data to create a placement:

  • Estimated Placement Date.  Enter the Date you estimate the animals will be placed on.
  • House. Enter the house the animals should be placed in.
  • Estimated Placement Count. Enter an estimated amount of birds that will be placed in the house.
  • Hatchery. The hatcher the estimated placement will be coming from.
  • Estimated Sex. The sex of the birds that will be placed.

Estimated Transfers

This tab is where you will enter your estimated Transfers Out. Within the grid enter the following data to create a placement:

  • House.  Enter the house that the birds should be transferred out from.
  • Transaction Date.  Enter the Date you estimate the animals will be transferred on.
  • Accounting Date.  Enter the Accounting date this transaction will be taking place in.
  • Quantity.  Enter an estimated amount of birds that will be transferred from the house.  Note:  Enter either a quantity or percentage, but not both.
  • % To Transfer. Enter an estimated percent of birds that will be transferred from the house.  Note: Enter either a quantity or percentage, but not both.
  • Sex.  The sex of the birds that will be transferred.
  • Comment.  Enter any additional comments or notes for this transaction here.

Transaction Relations

The top section of this screen shows what transaction flock you want to add a relationship with.

  • Group.  Select this to bring up the group picker dropdown.  Douple click this field and the default Company and Division will accumulate in the dropdown.  If you know the flock number you can enter that in the Group drop down without adding the prior information.
    • Company.  Select the Company the flock is related to.
    • Division.  Select the Division the flock is related to.
    • Farm.  Select the Farm the flock is related to.
    • Group.  Select the Group the flock is related to.
  • Placement House.  After you have selected a flock you can double click on the Create New Row that was added to the grid and or select "Accept".  A select a placement house to assign to this relationship box comes up.  Select the House from the drop down and select Accept.

You have now established the groups relationships.
