Aeros VISION now has Standalone Security!

Available in Aeros VISION version 2.16.8.0+

Aeros Vision has always relied on Aeros ERP for authentication and published report permissions. This creates a dependency between those two systems that made it impossible to implement one without the other. While ERP will still require Aeros Vision for financials reporting, Aeros Vision no longer requires ERP to install, login and manage reports.

If users have been migrated from ERP into Vision, and those users remain synchronized, then user authentication from ERP will be passed to vision. If the user is found, their permissions will be automatically applied to the vision instance.

Managing User Permissions

Users can be added and managed from this new user security screen.  Adding or editing a user displays the user editor dialog. From here, you can edit all of the values and permissions that are attributed to a user.

Managing Report Permissions

When we add a new query, report, dashboard, line group, column group or report group, we can right-click it from the main screen. This will allow us to set permissions for other users that may wish to view or edit these objects.

We can assign which users may view or even edit the report

When users login, any features they do not have access to will be disabled. If they do not have access to any options on a menu item, it will become disabled.
