Function Dependencies
1 - Vision Connections
Through the system configuration, you must first create Connections. Connections are the links to your different database systems. This function is usually managed by your System Administrator and once created, rarely needs to be adjusted.
2 - Vision Data Models
Through the system configuration, you then configure Data Models. Data Models define the structure of your database system and allow the Query function to request the data from your database. This function is usually managed by your System Administrator and once created, rarely needs to be adjusted.
3 - Vision Queries
The main workhorse of the system are the Queries. The Query connects to the Data Model which provides you the columns and fields available in order to return the requested data.
3a & 3b - Category & Sub Category
Categories & Sub Categories are optional configurations that allow you to group Queries. This is required for publishing to Aeros ERP. This function is usually managed by your System Administrator and once created, rarely needs to be adjusted.
4 - Vision Reports
Reports are the designed forms that you are used to seeing / printing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. Each Report connects to a Query for its information and available fields.
