Step-by-Step Guide

 

Install EDI HQ on application server

   . You will need to have access to EDIHQ_Setup.exe and the license key in order to install EDI HQ

   . Run EDIHQ_Setup.exe

   . The default locations are set as below:

 

 

Once the application is successfully installed, the following message will be displayed.

 

 

 

 

Create 32/64 Bit ODBC Data Source for Aeros ERP.

  1. From the Server where EDI HQ was installed > Search in Administrative Tools folder > Open the appropriate ODBC Data Sources (32-bit or 64-bit).

 

 

     2. Click on System DSN tab > click on Add button.

 

   

     3. Select the database that you want to connect to > click on Finish.

 

 

     4. Type in the Name and Description of the database > click on the drop down to select the server > click on Next.

 

 

     5. Select the following screens’ options, setup the Login ID and Password to login to SQL server.

 

 

 

 

     6. The following window will be displayed > click on Test Data Source to perform a connection test.

 

 

     7. If the connection is successfully established, the following window will be displayed.

 

 

 

 

Create new EDIHQ DB in SQL Management Tools.

      From SQL Server Management Studio > right click on Databases > New Database > Type in the Database name > click OK.

 

 

 

Create new EDI HQ Data Source pointing to MSSQL.

     1. Open EDI HQ application > Setup > Data Sources.

 

 

     2. Click on Add Data Source > Type in the Name of your Data Source > Set the Data Source Type to MSSQL > set the Data Source to Active > Set Standard Source to Use Default Standards > Click on Build button.

 

 

 

     3. Set the Server name > set the Database name > click on Test Connection.

 

 

     4. If the connection has been established successfully, the following message will be displayed.

 

 

     5. Click on Build button.

 

 

     6. The connection String is now set > click OK.

 

 

     7. Click Yes to create Maps Directory.

 

 

     8. Click Yes to create Archive Directory.

 

 

     9. Click Yes to activate full-text indexing.

 

 

     10. Highlight the database that you just create and check the Default check box > click Close.

 

 

 

Create ODBC Connection objects in EDI HQ for Aeros ERP's EDI tables.

Tools > Current Data Source Settings > Integration Settings.

 

 

 

 

Setup File definitions for outbound documents.

 

Create Inbound file definition.

 

Create EDI to ERP File Update StatusID

 

Create 882 DSD Summary (If needed)

 

 

Create processes.

 

Create Jobs for inbound and outbound processes.

 

Create Triggers for Jobs.
