When posting Journal Entries, the system stores the calculated G/L Account Balances in a summary table. This summary table is used by many of the financial reports to quickly return Trial Balance, P&L, and other financial reports. At times due to imported data or other system functions, the summary table can become out of sync.

Use the Trial Balance Report screen to perform a Recalculate on the G/L Account Summary Data.

Pre-Requisites

  1. Journal Entries

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Access the Ledger module.

  2. Click Reports.

  3. Click Trial Balance.

  4. Select an Accounting Period From and an Accounting Period To option.
    Note: Selected Accounting Periods must be in the Open status.

  5. Click Recalculate.

  6. Click Yes to the Confirm prompt.

  7. Click OK to acknowledge the recalculation.

  8. Optional: If more than one period was selected, the system will ask you to confirm each period. Repeat step #6 & #7 as needed.

  9. When complete and returned to the screen, click the Cancel button to close.
    Re-Run your Financial Reports for updated results.

    Note: Click the Retrieve button on the Trial Balance screen is not suggested as this will ran an older, legacy version of the Trial Balance report. Please run the Ledger --> Report Wizards --> Trial Balance.
