Reporting Calendars are used within the Product Sales Analysis & Customer Sales Analysis reports to determine when a Year, Month, or Week begins for a specific ending report date. Use the Reporting Calendars screen to create and edit Reporting Calendars..

Pre-Requisites

  1. None

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Access the Master module.

  2. Click Miscellaneous.

  3. Click Reporting Calendars.

  4. Under the top grid for "Select Calendar Name", click the Add button.

  5. Enter a Name for the Calendar. For example: ABC Company Standard Calendar

  6. Click Save.

  7. Under the bottom grid for "Set Weeks and Periods", click the Add button.

  8. Enter a Year value. For example: 2014

  9. Select a Start Date value. For example: 6/1/2014
The start date will be the first date of your calendar year. For example, if your fiscal accounting period year begins on 6/1/2014 for the 2015 year, you would enter 6/1/2014 here. However, if you wanted to create a "Calendar" calendar (1/1/2014 to 12/31/2014) you would enter in 1/1/2014.

  10. Specify a Weeks value. For example: 52

  11. Specify a Periods value. For example: 12

  12. Click Save.

  13. Click the ... ellipses button next to the newly created year.

  14. The system will automatically create a row for each period based upon the Start Date specified.

  15. For the first line, specify the Period's End Date. Using the example above, we might state that 6/1/2014, Period #1, ends on 6/28/2014.

  16. After specifying an End Date on one row, click on the End Date field on the next row.
The system will automatically calculate the State Date for that period based upon the End Date of the Previous period.

  17. Repeat the steps for each row until completed.

  18. Click Close.

  19. Click Yes to save the changes.

  20. Optional: Go to Step #7 for any additional years you wish to create.

  21. Click Close to exit the screen.
You should now be able to select this Reporting Calendar within the sales report wizards.
