Summary:

This article documents the usage of Update Flock Status’ which can be found through System under Inventory Management.

Gives you the ability to update multiple flock statuses at a time. Turn selected flocks from Pending status to Active, Settled flocks to closed flocks when done working with them or vice versa.

Pre-requisites

Version 41.20 or higher, Live Inventory Setup (adding Flocks)

Update Flock Statuses

Go to System --> Inventory Management --> Update Flock Statuses

Select Filters

Select your company and Division you are working with. You can break it down further by Farm if you would like but it is optional.

Select your Flocks Current Status that you want to see and select Execute.

This will pull all the flocks meeting the above criteria.

Select Flocks

Select the flocks you want to change their status by selecting the check box under update status.  To include or Exclude all flocks in the list you can right click on any row and you will get the options to do either.  If you want to select specific flocks, you can highlight the rows by selecting one row at a time, selecting multiple flocks in a row by clicking on a row, holding the shift key and selecting the last row you want to include, or holding the Ctrl button while selecting individual rows.  Now that they are highlighted you can right click and select “Include Selected”.

New Status

Once all of your flocks are selected, you will move to Step 3 and Select a new flock Status for the selected flocks.

And finally click Save for the change to the flocks’ status to take effect.

Finalization

The flock list lists whether the flock has been finalized or not already.  When moving flocks from Pending to Active or Active to Settlement, it will ask if you would like to finalize depopulation for all selected flocks.  This means that the flock will start looking at actual placements, transfers, and depopulation's and ignore estimates.  If depopulating the flocks inventory count will change to zero.  Note: This will not trigger the transfer process as it does when you finalize transfers.
