Your Feed Deliveries with Aeros LIVE's Feed Plan

Available in Aeros LIVE version 1.45+

The team at Aeros is excited to introduce Aeros LIVE has a new feed planning process.  A flock's feed plan will be 's new Feed Planning functionality. A Feed Plan is simply a list of feed deliveries projected for the life of a flock. It is generated on placement, and will be is maintained and edited throughout the life a flock.

It is similar to the existing feed schedule process but the feed plan gives the user the ability to see upcoming deliveries for the life of the flock.   Those deliveries will then appear in our feed order form generated for a day or specified length of time to commit feed orders for the day.  Once those feed orders are actualized they will become feed deliveries.

It gives the user flexibility in rescheduling deliveries.

updated through the life of the flock.  This process estimates consumption requirements at discrete intervals from the first placement up to the end of the flock's projected life and determines when feed should be ordered, how much feed, of what formula, and what additives to include.  The result is a list of feed plan records dated from the beginning to the end of the flock's life .  A feed plan is a record that specifies when to make a delivery, what kind of feed, and why it is required.  Feed plans are generated for flock/house units.  A flock/house is the the set of birds located in a specific house and assigned to a flock.

This view will allow us to search for many feed plan records across multiple dates, using filtering criteria. Once we find the records that suit our search we can review them and finally mark them as committed, meaning they are certified and ready to be entered as orders, and ultimately sent to the feed mill.  Only Feed Plans whose records have been approved will show up in the Feed Order form.  Feed plans that have been newly created, and not approved, as well as the initial snapshot records taken on approval will not appear on the feed order form.

The feed plan process projects a flock's daily consumption from consumption standard system tables assigned to the flock.

Standard Mortality tables adjust the flock's future population and thus adjust the flock's consumption total.

Feed Profile Goals are used to switch feed types, the system currently has three profile goal typesproviding a flock manager with a view of flocks total performance in a single view. As actual values (mortality, consumption, deliveries..) are logged in Aeros LIVE the Feed Plan updates and regenerates records representing the actuals that have already occurred, and projecting new planned deliveries based on those actuals instead of standards.

For those familiar with Aeros LIVE's Scheduling, this is similar to that process, but the Feed Plan provides a flock manager the ability to see upcoming deliveries for the life of the flock, as well as all previous deliveries to make decisions with complete knowledge on the life of the flock.

After a flock's feed plan is generated, the planned feed deliveries begin to appear in the Feed Order form.  This screen allows a user to search for Feed Plan records across dates and other filtering criteria (Mill, Division, Indsutry...). Once a user identifies the feed deliveries they would like to process, the system lets a Feed Order clerk mark the orders committed.  This process marks the records ready to be sent to an order system like Aeros ERP or to the feed mill system for batching.

If a non-integrated manual order system is desired, committed plan records can be sent from the Feed Order screen, to the Feed Delivery Stage screen.  Any changes from the requested quantity of feed or actual formula changes can be made here, and committed as actual Feed Deliveries in Aeros LIVE removing the need for any integration with the mill or the ordering system.

One of the most exciting features of the Feed Plan is this features a Daily Consumption Form. Using consumption, mortality and adjustment standard tables assigned to the flock and incorporating actual flock values, updated from the the Feed Plan, this form shows the daily breakdown of consumption and provides your Order Desk staff the information needed to determine whether they can move a delivery forward, or push a delivery to the next day without having a flock run out of feed. This information is critical when looking to optimize costs of delivery and feed.

This form is constantly evolving and improving, and already uses three Feed Profile Goals to switch feed types; consumption, age and body weight.
