Sometimes, you may want to enter data for all groups at one time. For example, you may want to enter your mortalities one week at a time for all animal groups. To facilitate this, we have a Batch Data Entry screen. Your options in this screen are to enter data one group at a time for a specific time frame, or pick a date and the form will populate with all active animal groups.

This form will not pre-populate with existing data. It will, however, warn you on save if the data already exists, if it is invalid, or if it doesn’t follow the rules of the house (such as entering more mortalities than are birds in the house).

Below is an example of the Batch Entry Form. Fields can be added and removed for ease of use, and various layouts can be saved too. This allows you to create a form for Mortalities, Ending Feed, etc., or any mixture of these records.

Batch Entry By Flock

When entering batch data by code, you will need to first enter the farm code, flock code you want to enter data for, the time span of days, weeks, or months you will be inputting, and the start and ending dates.  Click load to get a list of the selected flocks for the date range entered and use the grid to enter the data for those days, weeks, or months for each house.

Batch Entry By Date

When entering batch data by date, you will first need to enter the Industry Type, Farm Code, date you are entering data for, the status the flock is currently in, Sex is an optional criteria field.

Layouts

You can save different customized layouts on this form for different types of batch entries you want to do.  Example, if you want one layout so you can enter in only Mortalities and Water, you can remove the other bands/ columns you will not be using.  You can remove by dragging and dropping the column to be removed down intil an X appears.  You can find the column again by right clicking the column headers and selecting column chooser and re-drag into the batch form grid.  You can also move the columns around.  Once your layout is how you want it, you will then click the Layout button, select Add a New Layout, enter a Layout name, and click Accept.  See Working with Grids for more information.

Once you save a layout you can find your layout, under the Batch button on the ribbon bar for selection.  You can Update or delete any existing layouts.

Note: Each layout created is by user. Each user will have to set up their own layouts, they are not shared.
